Met4Tech were showing off our wares on both Friday and Sunday for the British Science Festival – right on our doorstep in Exeter, for 2023!

Up on the University of Exeter’s Streatham Campus for the first day, we were approach by a myriad of schools groups, public punters and academics to hear more about our research in to a circular economy for technology metals.

The approach to our stand asked visitors to ‘pin the metal on the EV’ to instigate talks around how many more metals are going to be needed for the transition to electrification.

For Sunday the venue changed to an igloo-like dome in the grounds of the Exeter Cathedral. The team were grateful for the shade as the September sun stayed out all day.

We had a few more mineral specimens on Sunday along with colourful chemicals from the deep eutectic solvents team at Leicester.

The British Science Festival in an annual event that travels the UK, visiting a different city each year – see here to get involved.
